Iain Colquhoun is Co-Founder and Principal Consultant at ReconIQ. He has worked in financial services operations for more than four decades, the great majority of it in reconciliation. Iain built and led the global reconciliation utilities at Newedge and Renaissance Capital, and was senior enterprise data architect on the transformation of Citi's Global Reconciliation Utility. He has designed and delivered regulatory reporting reconciliations for MiFID II, EMIR and SFTR at Saxo Bank and ICBC Standard Bank, and led reconciliation programmes for institutions including BNP Paribas, HSBC, Royal Bank of Canada, Rabobank and Fortis. On the vendor side he has implemented IntelliMatch for SunGard and contributed to platform design for well known reconciliation vendors. Iain writes The Reconciliation Desk newsletter, where he takes a practitioner's view of what technology, AI included, can and cannot fix in reconciliation.
