Dr. Katrin Deckert

/ Legal Advisor For European Affairs, ANSA, Chair of Corporate Governance Working Group, European Issuers

Katrin Deckert has been a legal advisor for European affairs at ANSA (Association Nationale des Sociétés par Actions) since 2024, and a senior associate professor at Paris Nanterre University since 2011. From 2006 to 2015, she served as deputy secretary-general of the International Academy of Comparative Law.

Katrin studied law and economics in France and Germany, and holds a PhD in German, French and European corporate and financial markets law from the University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne and the University of Hamburg (2009).

She was a research fellow and lecturer at several universities in France, as well as at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg. Her research focuses on comparative and European corporate and financial markets law, with particular interests in artificial intelligence and digital technology, sustainability, and law & economics.

She is also the editor-in-chief of the International Journal for Financial Services and regularly publishes work in French, English and German.
