Darren Giles, Director & Head of EMEA Corporate Actions. Darren is responsible for ensuring the integrity of all BlackRock client assets impacted by corporate actions, strategic management of provider relationships and responsible for the development and implementation of strategy and governance of operational processes.

Prior to joining BlackRock in March 2017, Darren was the Head of Operations with National Australia Bank, Asset Servicing. In this capacity Darren had direct responsibility for the strategic leadership of the custody operations business functions inclusive of Corporate Actions, Trade and Cash Operation and Corporate Governance teams with a significant focus on transformational projects to increase the customer experience and provide greater ROE. Darren held numerous Leadership roles within operations at NAB during his tenure from 2006 - 2017. Darren began his investment operational career in 2000 with Computershare (Australia) prior to moving to Aviva Invest (formerly Morley Fund Management) in London.
